I recently acquired a deck boat powered by a 97 Johnson 115 V4. From neutral if I ease to forward sometimes it catches and no problem. Going to reverse is no issue, however I must shut off, go to neutral and try to ease into forward again to get it. With baffle on and testing it will sometimes slow and change direction other times it will slow click and stay in reverse. Novice boater here. Any input would be great.
