I'm not having any running issues with this engine ,but everytime I tilt it up oil leaks out into the cowing. not a lot but it will run out of the cowing down the engine if I tilt it up a few times. I looked online and most seem to say that this is common with these engines, but I find it hard to believe that this is normal. I cant tell where it is leaking from "maybe throttle body"? have you guys seen this type of thing before? thanks .

it is common due to the way the carb is you can also check the little hose on the bottom of the air box to see if its connected, its a drain for the box.

if it is a carbed motor...then I think either your airbox is on poorly, your lower hose to the airbox isn't connected and or you have carb leakage somewhere.....the oil is whats left from the gas-oil mixture after the gas evaporates after a day or so.....

It could be normal as in 1999 they were injecting the oil into the throttle bodies. They later changed this to inject the oil into the power head. Your motor sounds normal.
