So I am finally getting around to working my 72 100hp Evinrude (100293R). I wanted to add a tell tail to it but i noticed that i don't have the flat spot on my block that others tap into in the FAQ's. Can i tap into the same spot as others have without that flat spot or will the wall be to thin? I don't want to risk destroying my motor.

My second item is I also got a water pressure gauge and I am wondering where the best spot would be to tap into the cooling system.
