Is this a 1948 Evinrude 1.5 hp?

Just wanted to check my information on this outboard I pulled from the pile this morning. So far here is what I got, thanks to the info that everyone has posted on iboats.

1948 Evinrude Sportsman, 1.5hp, 4425-08319

You are close but it is a '49

No sweat. The 4425's up to serial number 13000 were 1948's. 13001 and up were 1949's.

If they had a suffix C attached, they were a '50-'51
