1965 Evinrude 18 h.p. fastwin

There are 6 wires included in the motor cable.
Large black-engine ground
Large red-starter
small red- electric choke (not working need a new one)
small white-starter coil gnd
2 small black wires- Where do these connect?

Check the top secret files at the beginning of this forum and look for wiring diagrams.

They are from the points, they connect to the 2 M posts of the keyswitch to kill the motor.

Hi b. Welcome to iboats. Neat old motor. I have a '66 Johnson myself, which is virtually identical. Here are some handy links that may help you get her running again. You can get any routine parts you may need like carb kits, ignition components, etc... right here at iboats too. Holler if you get stuck.
