Expecting to purchase a 2004 johnson brp saltwater series

I'm looking at buying a 2004 brp saltwater series 115 does anyone have any experience with this motor. It's a friend of mines and I know it runs great and we are going on a test ride Friday but would love any input . He's pretty thorough with his boats so I'd expect it to be tip top.

Do a compression test on it and check the gear case oil.

Definetly gonna do a compression test and I will check gear case . Thanks are these decent motors I've had other Johnson's that were great motors.

Hard to beat a 115 OMC v-4.

It's a 2 stroke and I don't have the model # yet but I'm gonna text him for it.

I'm having a problem finding this model # in any oem parts lists does anyone know why that is? I have found it in other sights??? Any help would be great.

60 degree looper , carbed motor...dont know much about the motors made after 2001..... it is a 25" shaft motor

I found the reason for the model # not showing up the last letter is the build origin c is canada and m is Mexico . M is the letter America uses for this motor so the c and the m are the same engine .
