1983 evinrude 25 hp tiller (starter)

Hey how's it going guys I have a 1983 evinrude 25 hp tiller and I was wondering if I can put a electric starter on it and if I can will it charge the battery? I have a buddy selling me the starter the bracket with the starter some wires and a new flywheel for 100$ I was wondering if it will charge the battery also thanks in advance guys

Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up your motor. You'll see what's required for battery charging capabilities.

To charge the battery, it'll need the rectifier and probably a terminal block and solenoid. And number 26 on the motor I looked at - Stator.
