Hydraulic Steering on '75 evinrude 85hp help

I am in need of a new steering system for my 1975 Evinrude 85hp outboard. (85593E)
I would like to use the Baystar system from teleflex.

Teleflex only lists the hydraulic cylinders for post 1977 motors. I contacted them hoping for a solution. Not happy with the advice... look at a 1977-1989 65hp-150hp outboard to see if they have the same tiller arm and if they do order the cylinder for that one.

Since I don't have another Evinrude to compare tiller arms with the 1975 this doesn't do me much good.

Is anyone running hydraulic steering on their '75 and can you tell me what cylinder to order or can someone take a picture of the tiller arm on their 1977-1989 Evinrude 65 hp- 150 hp outboard?

Aren't the Baystar cylinders universal fit? Even so, I understand your question, but don't have the answer. But at some point in time the tiller arm changed from a single threaded bolt hole to one with two holes. That might be significant, but sorry I can't say for sure.

1975 motor or 1977 is all the same as far as steering goes.

Baystar system has a couple of different cylinders. The one found in most kits does not fit the '77 and up Evinrude. You have to be sure to order the kit with the HC4648H cylinder.

I do have two holes in my steering arm if that helps.

I just want to be sure before ordering such an expensive system.

There are actually four different cylinders to choose from:

There is a conversion plate HA4642 to make the main kit into the cylinder for the later Evinrude motors, but I would like to avoid buying the wrong thing and then having to spend another $100 for the conversion.

Anyone else willing to chime in on this one?
The Baystar system mounts to the tiller arm so knowing if they are the same ('75='77 and later) is the key to install.
I just want to verify.
