1988 johnson 150gt - was running, click, no starter, nothing at all

hi all,

i had the engine running, shut off, go to restart and nothing, heard a click. i tested several components and came to replace the engine starter solenoid, but still nothing. any where / thing to look at? - thanks

Check battery connections at engine and battery along with fuse in fuse holder by solenoid....

Check your choke is working, thatl test your power lines.
Try jumping straight to your starter. A click is normally the solenoid working so if you keep hearing the click its possibly your starter or the main heavy wires to it that a bung

fixed! corrosion on the heavy red wire, new wire fixed the problem
