71 2 hp Johnson starter pulley

This motor came with a recoil (and cowl) which I don't have. Models prior to 1971 used a pulley (part # 0313286). Will this pulley mount up to the flywheel on the 71 which originally used the recoil. The pulley is cheap compared to a (used - if you can find one) cowl and recoil. I'd just as soon not have to deal with the recoil anyway since these motors are so easy to start. Anybody know if this is compatible?

You would think the bolt hole patterns on top of the flywheel would be the same. If you get the pulley you can always modify it to fit. Anything is possible.
