'93 Johnson 88SPL needed new rectifier. Wire broke at base. new one came with one red two yellow wires. old one had one red one yellow and one yellow/grey. I cant seem to be able to use my DVM to determine a difference in the two yellows.
Does it matter which way they hook to terminal block?
It's just turning AC to DC and I'm thinking it may not matter which leg of coil it uses as input.
Thanks for any help,
Todd

Got her hooked up and running! Tach works now as well as charging system.
and OMG!!!!! glad I was working on it and had to start it with the hood off and was looking at it.
When I hit the primer gas shot out of the pump housing. Turns out all 4 screws were loose.
This could have been a very serious problem!!!!
