1980 Johnson 70 HP Trim/Tilt problem

Going down the tilt works, but when I try to go up.. it clicks only... is it a tilt motor problem? How do I trouble shoot it?

Open up the tilt control box on the mtr and swap the relays.

First of all, sorry about how I jumped into an existing thread... I'm new to this iboat thing and am lame to this tech forum stuff.
Second, YOU"RE RIGHT! I found the clicking in one of the relays (which I didn't know existed), and determined it was a bad connection... IT WORKS!!! Thanks, Boobie.... whoever you are. Mike
