It starts and runs on only 1/2 of the cylinders.
I've disconnected the stator leads and swapped them around like Outboard Ignition or CDI suggested.
It still has spark only on the port bank. The other side is pretty much dead.
I have a PRVM (peak reading volt meter)and will try some more tests tomorrow.
Looking for suggestions?

Thanks,Jerry

Maybe some short or problem with the shift switch interrupter circuit!

shift switch. Simply disconnect the black/yellow, or maybe it is black/orange, wire from pack to switch and see if spark comes back. free test, first thing to try. Wire runs down the stbd side on the engine block to the switch under lowest carb.

bimar21,daselbee.
Turns out the switch IS bad.(?)
Along with the cables.
The switch might be ok but it's gonna be changed anyway.
Thanks, Jerry

So you disconnected the switch, and spark came back to STBD bank, correct? I will tell you, if your engine shifts OK from Rev to neutral, i.e. doesn't stick or "bind", you probably don't need the switch at all. Try running without it, but if you find it hard to shift, THEN replace the switch.

Not my motor.
Gonna replace it so the owner doesn't have any problems.
The shift cable's 24ft. and it's mounted on a gill bracket.
PITA to change.
Winner22 Looks like a Grady White.
