1991 25 hp johnson long shaft to short shaft conversion question

guy I just bought a cherry fresh water j25 johnson 1991 model but its a long shaft (20") and I need to change it over to be a 15" shaft. what alls involved in this process ? all help/tips is very appreciated.

Hi Bob
Ive never done that one, but you will need a shorter driveshaft and shift shaft to start with.
You could use a jackplate to lift it up the engine the five inches or so to the ideal height you want. It normally works out much cheaper and quicker

All you need is the short drive shaft. shift shaft and water tube.
