Hi.
Hoping someone can help me out!

I have a 1972 Johnson Seahorse 9.5 HP that has alot of shifter slack. I need to take the shifter lever apart to try to fix it. But I can't seem to figure out how. I looked for a diagram, but can't find it.
I'm referring to the shifter handle and what it attaches to just under the cover.

Thanks in advance!

I also have a fully working Evinrude Sportwin 9.5 from 1971 which is basically the exact same so I have one to compare it to. But I still can't figure it out. I'd rather ask on here first before I break something.

Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up your mtr. They have good parts diagrams.
