1960 Evinrude Lark Model 35520
I removed the flywheel to change the ignition parts and decided to check the flywheel magnets using the screw driver method. I have magnets on both sides of the flywheel and I expected that both magnets would show some magnetized condition. One side did not - is this normal?

Thank you very much. These forums are very helpful for us folks attempting to keep these older motors alive. Thanks again.

Found the problem of the upper cylinder not firing - the spark plug wire going to the coil was broken. I think this thread is resolved.
Thanks again for all your help.
