Mid 90's Evinrude Intruder 175

I'm looking at a boat with a mid 90's Evinrude Intruder 175,

I don't know much about those motors,

Is there anything special I should be concerned with????

Any known quirks????

If it's a carbed mtr they were pretty good . Stay away from any Fichts or DI mtrs.

I'm still looking and the Evinrude Intruders keep showing up on boats I'm looking at,...

What year did the Intruders go from carbs to di or fichts???

The Fichts came out in 1998 but I believe they were still building the carb models up to a certain point. I'm sure somebody else will chime in with better info.

as boobie stated 1998 on the erude but the Johnson I believe went to 2002
