I have purchased an Evinrude (what I think may be a 200 or 225 OB motor) and I need help with identification. Both of the heads have the 333809-4 stamp on them. The power pack has the cdi part number of 113-4037 on it. The cowl shows in the parts lists that it is probably a 1988 model 200 or 225. The freeze plug on the cylinder block has the number 04317998 stamped on it. I would like to pinpoint the exact year model for future reference and any help would be much appreciated. The data plate on the left side is missing... Nevermind the chicken. She lays 1 egg a day and beats anything you can find in the store by a long shot.

Thanks,
Scott

Call BRP with the serial number from the freeze plug. They should be able to ID the powerhead. My guess is the powerhead is a replacement powerhead, for a blown engine.

Great I'll try that tomorrow and see what they have to say.

Thank you,

I'll pull the carb cover and have a look at the numbers
