I put the cover on the motor for the first time since getting the motor (1962 28hp rx-10) and its very lose. Its looks like I?m missing a rubber seal (part 0313173) which is no longer available. Just wondering if there is anything that I could use that would make the cover sit on the motor snugly. I have put some stick on foam around the base of the motor cover which has tightened things up a bit but it won't last long. I sure there must be some sort of door seal etc that would do the job. Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards Kevin

I went to a local junk yard and pulled the rubber trim from the trunk of a toyota tercel I cut it to fit my bigtwin & glued it in place with 3m weather strip adhesive. seems to work ok.

You might also try some local body shops, they usually have various types of weather stripping around the shop, maybe you can match something up.
