Correct tach pulse setting for 2000 Johnson 50 HP J50PLSSM?

Just came to the realization my tach is reading roughly 80% too high after comparing with a light-pulse tach. Does anyone know what is the correct pulse setting for a Teleflex tach on this motor?

I believe it should be 6 pulses but different tachs use a different setting. My Faria tach uses setting "5" for a 6 pulse tach.
