I have a 1975 Johnson 115 HP (model 115ESL75E) that runs like a dream with the exception of starting from a dead stand still. When idling in gear, such as getting ready to pull a skier, then nailing the throttle to get them up, the engine will die. If you advance the throttle just ever so slightly then nail it, it runs just fine. Granted this is a 38 year old engine and I will be happy with it just as it is is. Just thought someone might have some ideas, maybe fuel delivery problem? Possibly need to rebuild carbs? Any help is greatly appreciated.
