1989 Evinrude 50hp.
Situation: I bought this 1989 Sunbird boat, and the VRO was removed which I think housed the gauge and was the termination point for the 5 pin connector? I began trouble shooting the electrical and quickly realized that there is a 5pin, connector dangling that terminates on the two relays next to the junction box.
Question:
Can I bypass the trim tilt gauge in this motor, or is the 5 pin connector necessary to complete the circuit? This cable is obsolete, and I wish to completely bypass the gauge? Is this possible?
