1954 super fastwin lower gear case oil ?

i'm restoring an old 15012 15 hp super fastwin and im just wondering what kinda of oil/grease goes in the lower unit.

HiVis 80/90w, available at this site no doubt, your dealership, marine stores, Wal*Mart, K-mart, etc.

Assuming the seals are good and it will hold it.

i use 80w90 automotive gear oil, but there is the proper 90wt marine grade oils that deal with water intrusion better. you can usually find either at wal mart. ( remember to fill from the bottom screw hole slowly until it comes out of the top screw hole.....and DO NOT remove the phillips head screw!!)
