model 7518 - 1955 evinrude 7.5 fleetwin magneto to cylinder?

Recently came across this motor, I have searched high and low to verify some info. I am trying to verify which high tension wire is which from magneto to cylinder. I followed the magneto parts replacement guide using the universal magneto guide. In that guide they refer to cyl 1 as the "longer mark" on the base of the flywheel, and the "shorter mark" is cyl 2. But in looking at the generic 50's parts guide for multi year motors, it calls it "top" and "bottom".

When I received the motor it had no spark plug wires at all.

Any help on this is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

welcome to iboats cb , front coil ( above the carb) is the top cyl.
