1986 johnson 120 hp

After a ten to fifteen minuite run,engine will sputter lose some power and rpm then will run again for 1 to 2 minuits and continue the sputtering power for rest of the run. Any ideas????

when on the water try pumping your primer bulb to deliver fuel to your carbs, if it runs better then look towards your fuel pump.

You could also have some ignition problems after it warms up.

Thx for reply. Already tried. Mechanic tells me fuel pressure from fuel pump OK.

Thxs for reply. Have been told iginiton circuits are fine. Difficlult to get to problem when it lasts for a few seconds and then everything seems fine for 1-2 minutes when engine will sputter agaion.
