Will a power pack give any indication that its going bad or does it just quit working?

It can start giving you running probs or just plain quit. Find the black/yellow wire on it, disconnect that and see what happens.

Great trouble shooting guide. After reading that test and other post I determined it was the power pack. I order a new one and installed it. Still had nothing. After looking at all the wireing I found that one of the connectors from the new power pack did not match up to the same color wires going into the plug, by this time the new one I bought fried. Ordered another one and that was correct, motor fired right up. LET THAT BE A WARNING TO US ALL.

Glad you got it fixed. I hope whom ever you bought in from gave it to you under warranty.
