New bulb firmed initially, but won't firm up now

I have an Evinrud 70 hp that would not start. I replaced the bulb, and it ran beautifully for about 3 days. On the 4th day, the bulb would not firm up and the boat wouldn't start. Would that be a faulty bulb or could something be causing the bulb to fail? Squeezing the bulb resulted in a lot of floating gas in the lake, but not sure if that was just residual gas that was in the motor or what. Last year I replaced the fuel line and the connector. The connector seems a bit wobbly to me. I had the fuel line inside of the gas tank tested, they said there are no leaks. Should I replace the brand new bulb, or look at something else?

Could be the carbs are flooding over.
