I have a 1966 Evinrude 9.5 Sportwin that I recently acquired attached to a 14' semi-v aluminum boat. According to the original owner the motor was gone through and running 3 years ago but hasn't been ran since. I tried to crank the motor today with and without the choke on and got nothing. I bought a new fuel tank and fuel line assembly made by Attwood from Walmart prior to trying to crank the motor. I have fresh NON-ethanol gas in the fuel tank and the proper amount of oil.
This is my first boat so I know absolutely nothing about boat motors. Please share some insight if possible on what I may be doing wrong or have failed to do and things that I can check for to get my motor running.
