I?m cleaning and rebuilding the carbs and throttle plate on my 1994 Johnson 150 V6 loop charged motor and I?m getting conflicting information on the setting for the idle/air screw adjustment. During disassembly I checked the existing settings and all but one of the carbs was set at 5 turns out (really about 5.15 out). The other one was about 4.25 out.
In my Clymer manual it says the 1996 and later is set at 5 turns out but the 1995 is set at 3 turns out. It says nothing about before 1995. My gut feeling is to go with the 5 turns out but I want to make sure.

If someone has a factory manual and wouldn?t mind looking this up, I sure would appreciate it.

BTW, I found the O-ring gasket between the throttle plate and the engine intake broken, out of place and partially disintegrated on one of the the top carbs (not between the carb and throttle plate). This engine would not idle good at all and especially once it got hot it was very hard to get from idle to in-gear without stalling out.

Thanks
