I put a new primer bulb and connectors on my gas tank. My problem is that the bulb will not get firm when pumped up and there is air in the see through filter. I can get rid of the bubbles by pumping the bulb. But if it sits for awhile air gets in the filter Could it possible be the gas tank. It is a 6 gallon orange tank.

Re: Primer bulb

Did you try holding the bulb in a vertical position when pumping and see if gets hard ??

Motor is running fine. Yes I held it vertical and pumped it that's how I get rid of the air in the line. But it does not get hard it stays soft just like when u first put the gas line on the motor and pump it up.

Re: Primer bulb

It's supposed to be soft when running the mtr as fuel is only flowing through it then to the mtr. If the mtr is running fine, what are you worried about ??
