johnson 6r74c flywheel timing marks

When I reinstall the flywheel after replacing points and coils do I need to worry about the timing marks on the outside of the flywheel or can I just reinstall the flywheel .

The flywheel fits on a woodruff key so it can only go on one way.

In all the pics I saw I didn't see a key way . I haven't pulled the flywheel yet I still have a weak spark enough to get it running but the coil & points have been in there 40 years. I figured I should do them soon .
