What is this part on the intake manifold 1984 Evinrude 50hp

So I cant figure out what this "male end" is for? Is it a drain or something, just rebuilding an outboard and would like to know as I cant find anything online about it.

I have the part in question circled in the picture.

IT looks like a vac hose nipple to me, maybe to a over-ride cut out switch or a recerc lube hose.

It looks like a recirculting fitting.
the pipe from the carburettor cover at the bottom goes to this to let any fuel from front of carbs back into the crankcase.
