I need some help ..... just bought a boat with a 97 evinrude. when i bought the boat it cranked up right away and idled well as far as i know , but when i took it out to the lake it ran well at max speed and when we came to a stop to fish a hole the idle started sneezing and coughing and smoking then dies , but if you keep giving it gas it will stay on . sometimes it will do well and just idle good and then it starts again . im a first time boat owner and i know the boat sat around for a while before i bought it what can this be .... so if i can get some good feed back it would be greatly appreciated to know where to start .
Another problem is on take off when trimmed down the boat will lean to the left untill trimmed up it feels lk the boat is gonna turn over if not trimmed up .... what could be the cause of this also please ? Thanks for your time
