2002 evinrude 175 ficht bad cylinder/piston

2002 evinrude 175 ficht #4 cylinder compression is at 35psi , cylinder is scored would assume the rings are shot as well, what would cause this? and are the cylinders nickasil and can they be honed?

Looks really dry and scored all the way around. Usually an overheat affects higher cylinders first. I think you should check into the oil system and make sure it working correctly. At least a new oil lift pump on the rebuild.
