I have a 70HP Evinrude VRO Motor. When I use the key choke it does not start. Only when I move the red lever on the solenoid primer, then go back to the key, it starts. How do I fix this?

You are aware you have to push the key in at the run position to activate the solenoid? If your solenoid is working you should be able to here it click when you push the key. Best of luck. Rick.

You have to push the key in when you have the ign switch in the start position after pumping the primer bulb.

I do push the key in but there is no "click" until I take the cover off and manually move the solenoid. Its almost like the key choke is not working. Just wondering if this can be replaced.

try cleaning the ground wire coming out of the solenoid. If that doesn't work run a wire from the battery + and touch it off the other wire (purple i think) coming out the solenoid, this'll rule out bad wiring. If still nothing then replace it, they are easily picked up on the internet...
