Hi everyone, First of all, I'm brand new to boating and this forum so please excuse my ignorance. My 93 Evinrude 25 hp just started stalling when I apply any throttle to it. This is the third time I have had it out on the water and the other two times it ran like a champ..
Now, the last time I had it out, I was running it pretty shallow during a night of bowfishing and put a few notches in the prop/killed the motor a few times. Before I put it in the water today, I noticed some thick grease/oil coming from the lower unit and when I put it in the water and tried to give it some gas, it would die every time. It didn't seem like it was the engine that was the problem though, it seemed like it was getting bogged down as if something was keeping the prop from turning (if that makes any sense). I checked the prop and didn't find any line or obstructions there.
Any suggestions on what I may be looking at? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Darren
