I have a new to me 1987 Johnson 6 hp 2 stroke, it has no choke, has a primer. What is the procedure for starting. I would like to know the procedure for the primer, cold engine, warmed engine, and warmed engine after disconnecting the fuel line and running the carb out of gas (this one because I disconnected the fuel liine and ran the engine until out of gas. then I squeezed the fuel line bulb until firm and didn't know how many pumps if any to restart the engine. I had a hard time restarting it after it was warmed up and drained of fuel and then reconnected. thanks

Every engine has its own needs you will learn with it over time.
Using primer when its warm can flood it though so i would only give it one then
