Please let me know any advise on releasing the locking (it tilt) position on a 1961 Johnson Seahorse outboard. This is a new motor to me, and I had no problem placing the motor into an upper tilt lock position, but now manually lowering the motor seems to be a problem. I have tried the release with the locking lever and no luck. I also raised the motor to release the tension on the locking lever. Thanks, Bill

That motor has a spring loaded pin on the side of the clamp bracket that you pull outward to release the lock. Also should have a trailer lock on other side, same idea only threaded in - l
