Hi there, I have a 2003 Johnson 115 which is tight to manually try to move the gear selector at the motor (cables disconnected). this problem seams to mean that the forward controls just wont throw the gear selector far enough to engage the gears well and the "rattle a bit before they engage (both foreward and reverse as I have tried to adjust them).
I was wondering if you could give any advice as to where or what to lubricate as the linkages seem to go through a rod down the main leg of the motor, I have been madly spraying lubricant down on all the points I can see for the gear linkage. I have only just bought the motor so do not know its history.
