Hello,
I just purchased a 1974 70 HP Johnson stinger 2. I was in the process of hooking up the throttle and shift cables when I noticed the throttle cable didn't have the same connection. All it has is a nub for the control to hook to. Is there some kind of clip used to hold cable on? I have also been searching for a air filter for this motor with no luck. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

I think it is just a nub, maybe you can get a cotter pin to slip over it as some seem slightly bevelled

Check out the original factory exploded parts diagram for your engine at this website: epc.brp.com That will show what is required.
