What year is my evinrude fisherman 6hp

Hi everyone,

Here is my first thread on this forum

I recently bought an evinrude fisherman and I am looking to buy a service manual. But firsts I guess I need to know in which year it's build. Can anyone help?

Welcome to iboats :welcome: great to have you aboard...

Can you see any idenification plate on the front of the engine? And you could even look at the top of the engine for a welsh plug (looks like a freeze type plug) around the head of the engine for some ID numbers as well. Those could help IDing your engine. I'm sure others will chime in and know more about your engine being having one themselves...

If you don't find a metal tag on the transom bracket, look for the welsh plug. On mine it is on the starboard side just forward of the spark plug. I compared your photo to photos of mine and I can only say it's not a 1968. Best of luck. Rick.
