Thanks in advance for any helpful information.

I need help troubleshooting my issue. I'm looking for advice on where to start, or ways I can narrow down the problem.

Here is my outboard:

Here is what I am experiencing:

The outboard starts and idles fine. As I increase throttle to about 30%, it boggs down and will die unless throttle is decreased.

I have found that I can take the cover off and place my hand in front of the carb air intake to "choke" the motor and it will eventually come out of the "bog" and let me go wide open.

I am thinking it's not getting enough fuel, any ideas or advice guys?

Thanks again, you people are awesome.

I need to get stinkbait back in action!

check all the fuel lines and hoses. ethanol makes them soft, you might as well say it makes them rot from the inside out. any that are soft, change them, and you can get new ones that are resistant. sounds like you may have some build up in the carbs clogging the jets, rebuild kits are cheap and not that hard. getting ready to go back out and finish putting mine back together :)

if it takes choking it to get it to run, 9 times out of 10 that seems to boil down to a fuel delivery issue, lines, hoses, clogs or pump, or E: all of the above
