Cooling water leak from under stator/flywheel area of 1995/6 evinrude 175hp

I noticed cooling water leaking from the area under the stator/flywheel area of my 1995/6 evinrude 175 hp engine. Would like to know what is the most likely cause of this and how difficult it would be to repair for a fair (but not great) mechanic like myself. Please respond.

It could be coming from around the voltage regulator which sits in the block and is water cooled. Go to shop.evinrude.com. Look up your mtr and check under ign system for a parts break down.

This is also the year/model that leaks externally at the block glue seams....
