1957 Evinrude 18hp carburetor float

Was wondering if I should replace the cork float with a plastic one or with a new cork one. Also would anyone know where I could find one? Have checked a few places but having a hard time finding one.

omc part # 0396514.....and yes, get rid of the old cork float! ( easy to get right here on iboats!!)
