i just purchased a boat with a 1994 Evinrude 30 E30ELERM, was told motor ran great. i put on the muff type motor flusher attached the hose and turned on the water. the motor fired right up and i had it in fast idol but i did not see anywhere that water should be coming out. unless the exit is in the area of the prop. can someone tell me where the water flow exit is located? is there any reason i would not be getting water flowing out?
also, what is the desired oil-gas ratio for a motor of this size and age?

thanks

There should be a tell tale on it and it may be clogged. How long did you run it ??

not more than 30 seconds if that long, didn't see any water coming out so shut it down immediately

Time to drop the LU and inspect the water pump. Its good practice to replace anyway when you acquire a new motor. I just use 87 Octane fuel.
