1987 150 johnson gt spark plug question

Ok i have a 87 150 johnson gt that has 2 bad spark plugs it has champinion ul77v plugs i have a brand new set of NGK buhw plugs from a merc will these plugs work with out schorching my pistons

As long as the plug reaches are the same they should work as they're both surface gaps.

They are the same length just didnt know bout the heat range

The Bombardier factory has always recommended Champions.

Yes i know this is true but i do not have the funds right now for a new set and i already had theese its just temp fix till i get time and funds for factory recomended plugs

You mean you are short on funds and will run the risk of an engine burn down because of the cost of a set of plugs? That does not make economic sense at all. Engine rebuild = thousands plugs = less than $30. What's the choice here?

I had no plans of running the plugs till i found out the difference in them thats y i came here if some one cant tell me itll set for a few months till i get the funds and time to make the hour trip to get them

Any spark plug cross reference guide will tell you that. All the plug manufacturers have cross reference charts on their web sites. Even your local auto parts store should be able to tell you if they are the same heat range.
