Hey Guys,

I have a 71 18102s Evinrude. I've been freshening her up a bit, changing points, rebuilding carb, etc. I noticed the powerhead gasket was leaking so I pulled the head to replace & wouldn't you know there are two other gaskets that need replacing. Problem is they're are obsolete.

1st is 313565 GASKET, Inner hsg #112

2nd is 0308292 SEAL,Housing cover #35

I've googled & searched the site a bit, but answers vary. Crowleymarine provided a few contacts, but if a man wanted to make one himself what would you guys suggest? Would RVT suit my needs here? Thanks

I believe he is talking about part # 112 which is the exhaust tube gasket. If he can't find one, he could always make one.

Ah you are right Boobie, thanks. For some reason I saw #12, not #112. Must be drowsy.

I sort of thought that, but didn't want to confuse the OP. I usually use ML for an excuse . LOL

Just match it with a gasket material of the same thickness. The seal I would buy.
