My stator is shot on my motor... which is visibly obvious. When testing my coil for resistance, it also appears shot as well. They are 2 different parts... not combined.
I have afew questions though. On my motor, the stator assembly is separate from the coil (and timer base). They are 3 different parts, which I can't find any part numbers printed. When I search the net... I seem to find pictures which look like my parts, but multiple part numbers. Is there a reason for multiple part numbers on these stators? I'm wondering if they are "wound" different maybe?
My motor is a Johnson 28HP. - J28ESLED - 1996
NOTE: I was able to find a part number on the "plate" that all 3 parts attach to... which is 584208.
Thanks for any insights.
