I have a 1978 Invader with a 115 Johnson, the steering system is a splashwell mount style (not what I'm used to). The part that mounts to the splashwell has completley rusted out and needs to be replaced. I found the part I need but I'm not sure on which one I need to get. There is a 90 degree version and a 15 degree version, how do I know (or find out) which one to get?

Here is a link to what I'm talking about

90 degree mounting kit

15 degree mounting kit

I'm hoping its the 90 degree kit (the cheaper one)

I'll try to post some pictures of the one that I have on the boat later today

Thanks, Ranger

A good pic would really help.

Found out something else. It's the degree on the side of your splashwell where it comes down from the top of boat. If it's angled you need the 15*. If it's straight down you use the 90*

I'm thinking I'm going to need the 15 degree kit
