Removing oil/fuel pump from 2005 Johnson 50 HP?????

Can I remove the electric oil/fuel pump from 2005 Johnson 50 HP and go with a manual primer type or whatever came on some of the earlier model year engines???? My 1990 model 48 hp does not have electric type pump from what I remember....

It already has had the oil side undone and is now a premix engine.

If so what part would a person need to pick up?

Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up the pump for your 48 hp.
